A New Chapter for BLK & Company

For the last two years, BLK & Company has existed as an online bookstore—a physical and intentional space for our community to gather around the written word. It has been a journey of discovery, conversation, and shared stories.

But as we grow, so does the way we connect. Today, we are returning with the addition of a digital salon.

The mission remains exactly the same. We wanted to create a quiet corner of the internet dedicated to the literature of the Black diaspora. This isn’t just about book recommendations; it’s about the culture, the craft, and the atmosphere that surrounds the stories we read everyday.

Welcome to curated thoughts by BLK & Company.

This platform is the new home for our community’s online discourse. Whether you’ve been with BLK & Company since day one or you’re just finding us through social media, we’re glad you’re in the room.

Moving forward, you can expect three distinct types of “thoughts” shared by us:

  • The Critique: This is where we think out loud. We’ll be diving deep into the stories that make an impact, breaking down the craft, and looking at how literature is affected by the current culture.

  • The Stack: This is our bread and butter. We will keep bringing you curated collections of stories that resonate.

  • The Reading Room: For the love of the bookish lifestyle. This is about the atmosphere—pairing great reads with the right mood, the right style, and a bit of readblk. merch to match.

We’re here to continue the work we started two years ago: curating a meaningful library with you.

The Bookstore is Still Open You can still books and merch available at blkandcompany.com. Thank you for being part of this evolution.

Before we turn the page on this first chapter, I’d love to know: What is the one book by a Black author that has stayed with you since you first discovered BLK & Company?

Drop a comment or just hit reply—we’re looking forward to catching up.

Keep supporting Black,

Tyah, Founder
